Our restaurant, our joy, our biggest headache, our greatest accomplishment. The Smokin’ Buddha (as a concept) was dreamt up during our sake-fueled days as young, overpaid English teachers in Hiroshima, Japan. Once we settled in Niagara, Kevin started to sell sushi and curry pastes at the Port Colborne Farmer’s market and the business grew organically from there. We are now celebrating 16 years at “the shop” this year (2023) and continue to find inspiration around the world and around the corner right here in Niagara.
